Material shortage, also known as lack of glue, insufficient filling, insufficient injection, incomplete products, etc., are the most frequent problems we encounter every day in injection molding, usually manifested at the end of the molding area and the position of thin ribs. Compared with other defects, debugging is simple, and the injection pressure, injection speed, and injection position can be solved in the process, but sometimes other factors are not excluded. The following is an explanation of the defects.

Adjustment and improvement methods leading to lack of materials

1. The injection conditions are not set reasonably. The injection pressure is too low, the injection speed is too slow, the injection position is too short, the molding time is too short, and the amount of glue required for the product cannot be reached, resulting in insufficient filling of the product. (Adjust the value of each parameter appropriately)

2. Whether the injection molding machine has back pressure. If the injection molding machine does not have back pressure, or the back pressure of the storage material is too small, the molten material is not evenly compacted to ensure uniform and homogeneous, resulting in insufficient product filling. (Properly increase back pressure).

3. Whether the heating nozzle of the barrel nozzle is damaged, and whether the thermocouple is not properly clamped. If the heating ring does not reach the rated temperature, the nozzle will condense, and the resistance during melt injection filling will be too large, resulting in insufficient product filling. (Replace the heating coil and tighten the thermocouple).

4. Discharge air shot to check the nozzle is blocked. If the nozzle is blocked by iron, the filling is not stable during production, and the product is often accompanied by excessive glue and lack of material. (Clean the nozzle in time).

5. There are relics in the nozzle and the intersection / barrel and flange. If there is a leftover phenomenon behind the mold, when the injection molding is filled, the mold cavity pressure is insufficient and the product is out of material. (Promptly resolve the issue of relics).

6. The mold temperature is uneven or the mold temperature is too low. If the mold temperature is too low, the solution will condense prematurely during filling and cannot be filled to the set position. (Increase the temperature of the mold, change the water circuit in series to parallel, and shorten the molding cycle appropriately).

7. For materials with poor fluidity, such as PC, PA, POM, etc., the diameter of the runners and gates can be increased on the mold, the barrel temperature can be increased in the process, and the mold temperature regulator can be added to increase the fluidity in the material. Additive to make the melt quickly reach the set position in the mold cavity. (Properly increase the mold temperature)
